Bloomberg Signs Commitment to Foreign Exchange Global Code
Mumbai, December 21, 2017 – Bloomberg today announced that it has signed a statement of commitment to the FX Global Code, pledging it will continue its leadership in supporting fair and robust FX markets worldwide.
A hub for financial services and a leader in FX electronic trading, Bloomberg has long supported the creation and implementation of the FX Global Code. The Code was developed by 21 central banks and diverse industry participants from multiple jurisdictions as a set of voluntary best practices. It is intended for all market participants engaged in the wholesale FX market, from global and regional sell-side institutions to buy-side asset managers, corporations and hedge funds.
“We endorse the FX Global Code and are committed to the highest levels of integrity and market practice,” said Tod Van Name, Bloomberg’s Global Head of FX electronic trading.
Van Name added that “Bloomberg’s mission is to provide innovative technology that enhances decision making and promotes fair, liquid markets. We will continue to work with our broad customer base to develop new solutions that increase efficiency and foster a resilient FX industry.”
Bloomberg actively works around the world with FX industry organizations including the Financial Markets Association (ACI), the leading global trade association for FX professionals dedicated to training and education.
