Co-op bank opens branch in vijayawada
The Visakhapatnam Cooperative Bank Limited, a multi-State co-operative urban bank, as part of its expansion drive inaugurated its branch at Kothapet in Vijayawada.
Bank chairman Chalasani Raghavendra Rao said that the 101-year-old Vizag-based bank was having 47 branches in Andhra Pradesh, including three in Hyderabad.
Mr. Rao said there were 1,574 co-operative banks in the country and the Visakhapatnam Co-operative Bank figured among the top twenty. “In deposits we are in the 24th place and in loan disbursal we are placed 22nd.”
