European Banking Authority attacked by Microsoft software hack
As the hackers race to infect as many victims as possible before companies can secure their computer systems, a sophisticated attack on Microsoft’s widely used business email software is morphing into a global cybersecurity crisis.
The European Banking Authority has recently become one of the latest victims as it stated that access to personal data through e-mails held on the Microsoft server may have been compromised. Huntress, a firm that monitors the security of customers, reveals that others identified so far include banks and electricity providers, senior citizen homes and an ice cream company.
