Government imposes 18.9% duty on Chinese steel goods

In a relief to the domestic industry, the government has imposed 18.9 % countervailing duty on Chinese hot and cold rolled stainless steel products. These products were being imported from China at a subsidised rate, the Central Board of Excise and Customs said.This will help the Indian manufacturer to have parity with chinese goods.
