Meeting of 134th Official Language Implementation Committee of Head Office,United Bank of India
The 134 th meeting of Official Language Implementation Committee of United Bank of India, Head Office was held on 08.06.2018 at 3.30 P.M. at ‘Suchintan’ meeting hall under the chairmanship of Sri Ashok Pradhan,Executive Director. At the outset of the meeting the 37th issue of ‘United Darpan’ was released.
Sri Arun Kumar Verma,Chief Vigilance Officer & Md.Abdul Wahid,General Manager were also present on the dias. The General Managers,Dy.General Managers & heads of different departments of Head Office were present in the meeting. The Executive Director while addressing the meeting emphasized the need to use of hindi in day to day official work. He told that efforts should be made by every Deptts.of Head office to enhance the percentage of original correspondence in hindi & also to use regional languages while dealing with customers in their respective areas.
Chief Vigilance Officer,in his address,told that Hindi is the only language which can represent the diversified culture of India. He also emphasized the role of Hindi Cinema, Doordarshan in propagation of Hindi use.
Md.Abdul Wahid,General Manager(O.L.) informed the house that our in-house Hindi magazine “United Darpan”has been selected for the prize by Reserve Bank of India. He also shared the information that United Bank of India,Head office received the first prize for the year 2016-17 & second prize for the year 2015-16 for outstanding performance in respect of implementation of official language from Town Official Language Implementation Committee(Bank),Kolkata.
Sri Rakesh Chandra Narayan,General Manager, while addressing the meeting stated that even after 70 years of independence, we are conducting meeting for better implementation of Hindi. He cited example of Indonesia & Israel for their dedication towards revival of respective languages.He also told that the initiative of Hindi movement for accepting Hindi as ‘Rashtrabhasha’started from south India,a non-hindi state itself.
Lead Bank Deptt. & Establishment Deptt. of Head Office submitted details of works being done in Hindi through power point presentation.
Sri Dhananjay Pratap Singh,Dy.General Manager(O.L.),while reviewing the progress of official language asked the members present to make constant progress regarding implementation of official language.
The meeting was conducted by Dr Shabhunath Prasad,Chief Manager(O.L.) & vote of thanks was extended by Srikrishna Prasad Singh,Chief Manager(O.L.).
