Passbook & cheque book of 8 banks to become invalid from April 1, 2021
The account numbers of the customers of eight banks, which were recently merged with other big lenders, will change from April 1, 2021. These banks are Vijaya Bank, Dena Bank, Corporation Bank, Allahabad Bank, Andhra Bank, Syndicate Bank, United Bank of India and Oriental Bank of Commerce.
The account holders of these banks will have to get a new passbook and cheque book as the previous ones will become invalid from the date. These account holders also need to know the new IFSC and MICR code of their accounts.
