Public Sector Banks to hold “Grahak Sampark Utsav” –a customer outreach initiative during festive season

Customer Outreach Initiative is being launched in 400 districts by Public Sector Banks (PSBs). The first phase of the initiative will be carried out in 250 districts across States from 03.10.2019 to 07.10.2019 and the second phase will cover 150 districts from 21.10.2019.

The initiative is aimed at reaching out to the Public for catering to their Retail requirements (Deposits, MSME, Home, Car, Agriculture etc)

The initiative will also focus on financial inclusion schemes and digital payment methods to encourage consumers and merchants to increasingly shift to these payment modes. There will also be facility for Aadhar enrolment and updation of Aadhar details.

In the first phase, 14 districts of West Bengal have been identified for this Customer Outreach Initiative. United Bank of India will organize ‘Grahak Sampark Utsav’ in the first phase in six districts in West Bengal viz: North 24 Pargana, South 24 Pargana, Hooghly, Burdhman, West Midnapore and East Midnapore on 03.10.19.In addition to this, Grahak Sampark Utsav is being organized in two districts of Assam and one district of Tripura.
